The Sustainability Assessment Program at the UNSW Water Research Centre provides research and consulting services to industry and government focusing on the following areas:• Life Cycle Management (LCM) • Life Cycle Costing (LCC)
These services are essential for organisations aiming to enhance the sustainability of their products and activities. Through determining current environmental performance and the environmental merits of alternative options, industry and government are better informed and more capable of making sustainable business decisions.
We also engage in national and international research to improve the methodological depth of these tools and the breadth of their application in organisations. We participate in the Australian Life Cycle Assessment Society’s collaboration with the CSIRO to create an Australian life cycle inventory database. Furthermore, we are the official sales partner for the LCA software tool GaBi 4 in Australia.
