Greg Peters

Greg is a Senior Lecturer in the Sustainability Assessment Program at the UNSW Water Research Centre.The themes of Greg’s work include: development of life cycle inventory data; enhancing sustainability assessment tools; broadening application of sustainability tools; and strategic planning in the water industry.  Greg has experience  in life cycle assessment, environmental impact assessment, ecological footprint analysis and corporate environmental reporting.  He has managed large research projects in the government and university sectors and negotiated compromises between engineers and environmental scientists to ensure sustainable project delivery in the construction sector.  Greg was re-elected President of the Australian Life Cycle Assessment Society (ALCAS) in 2008, is the Chair of the LCIA Development Committee of the Australian LCI Database Initiative and a member of the UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative Working Group on Assessment of Freshwater Use and Consumption.
